About Us
Dr. Kenneth Jones is a native of Knoxville. He graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a Bachelor of Science in 1972, and from the University of Tennessee Dental School in Memphis in 1975 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Ken is also the engineer, the electrician, the plumber, the multitalented repairman in the office that he and his father built in 1977. Dr. Ken is also a master craftsman who enjoys many woodworking projects such as building furniture and cabinetry in his free time.
Dr. Lan Jones came from Saigon, South Vietnam in 1977, graduated from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, with a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Art in 1980. She obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Health Science Center, Dental School in San Antonio in 1985. Dr. Lan is fluent in Vietnamese, French, and English, plus she also speaks Spanish and Italian. She is the master gardener who created and cares for the landscaping around the office and grows a large sustainable garden/orchard at their home. Dr. Lan is proud to be a farmer and a beekeeper when she is not wearing her dentist hat.
Both Drs Ken and Lan are Licensed Dentists of Tennessee, members in good standing of the American Dental Association, the Tennessee Dental Association, Christian Dental Society, Doctors Without Borders, Health Volunteer Overseas, and Dental Mission for Children.
Dr. Ken and Dr. Lan are both life-long volunteer dentists. Right after graduation from their respected dental schools, both of them were committed to helping less fortunate people through dental programs in local public health clinics in the US, West Africa, Central America, and Asia. Dr. Lan is the founder and president of DDS4Kids, a dental relief humanitarian organization that provides tens of thousands of school children living in impoverished areas the world the much needed dental and medical services. Both dentists have contributed to better the lives of children and adults in the United States, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Gambia, Zambia, Costa Rica, Peru, Belize, Honduras, Vietnam, Burma, Cambodia, and India for over 30 years and will continue to share their skills and blessings "'til their last breath."
